Update for Stencyl 4.1.1


This resource pack has been updated to be compatible with the new public release of Stencyl (4.1.1), along with bug fixes and new features.

Changelog:

  • New Player Number behavior, allows you to switch controls of the actor for local multiplayer games.
  • Player Control has new features, including: new pre-jump and landing states; air-jump; jump effect options; support for riding other solid actors and keep momentum when doing so. It can also check for tile and semisolid terrain data when executing the jump effects.
  • Status Condition Manager and Damage Type Modifiers removed. Both can now be handled by Character Status and Combat Statistics.
  • Character Status has a new parameter for minimum value.
  • Equipment now has a new data format. Each equipment slot now holds a map attribute instead of plain text. Furthermore, the equipment properties are retrieved both from the attribute from the same name and from the equipment slot map. This is a foundation for customizable items in your games.
  • Dialog Interface has an text offset option, to make each character slide into their position when drawn. It also has a new "oscillation" event, to make the letters spin around its target position. The new "sound" event can be used for voice acting.
  • Events Manager can now retrieve a .txt file from the "extras" folder to load as the cutscene.
  • All text options from the resource pack can now be retrieved from a .txt file from the "extras" folder. Not only does this make it easier to edit text, it can also be used for multi-language support.

As a reminder, to apply this update to an existing project, right-click the resource pack within Stencyl, click "Remove" and "Excluded Resources" before importing the new version, to avoid duplicates or unexpected issues.
